Synaptic Consumption is an Action and Illithid Power available to Full-Illithids. This ability allows a character to lower all of an enemies ability scores by 5, then 1 per turn, and heal themselves for 5 turns.
Description
Devour your foe, lowering all of their Ability Scores initially by 5, and by 1 each subsequent turn. Additionally, you regain 2~20hit points per turn. This lasts for 5 turns, after which the target is left
Properties

- Range: 18 m / 60 ft
- Duration: 5 turns
Condition: Absolute Consumption
Duration: 5 turns
- All of the creature's abilities are reduced by 5. When this effect ends, it drops
Condition: Prone
- Can't move or take Actions, Bonus actions, or Reactions, and has Disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
- Attacks against a Prone creature have Advantage if they're made within 3 m / 10 ft of the creature.
- A Prone creature must spend half its Movement Speed to stand up.
- A character with the Athlete feat spends only 1.5 m / 5 ft of Movement Speed to stand up.
