Bear Companion

Bear Companion is a variant of  Summon Companion which is a Subclass Feature of Rangers learned immediately upon choosing the Beast Master subclass. This ability allows the Beast Master to call upon their animal companion to fight and aid them in combat.

Summon a black Bear companion that can draw the enemy's attention and endure heavy attacks.

•  Goading Roar: Roar at nearby enemies to goad them into attacking you.
•  Claws: Lash out with deadly claws, dealing 1d8+2Slashing damage.
•  Prey's Scent: You deal an additional 1d6 damage to creatures marked by your Ranger's  Hunter's Mark

Your bear companion has 19 Hit Points and 11  Armour Class.

At Higher Levels

Level 5

Bear (Ursa Major)

New Ability:

•  Honeyed Paws: Lash out with paws sticky from honey and  Disarm your target. If it isn't holding any weapons, it falls  Prone instead.
•  Companion's Bond: Your summoned companions receive a bonus to Armour Class, damage, and attack rolls (even though this is not stated) equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Your Bear companion now has 39 Hit Points and 15  Armour Class. Its Constitution increases by 2.

Level 7

•  Exceptional Training: Allows all your companions to Dash, Disengage and Help as a bonus action.

Level 8

Your Bear companion now has 69 Hit Points and 16  Armour Class.

Level 11

Bear (Ursa Ingens)

New Ability:

•  Ursine Reinforcements: You summon an additional bear to fight alongside you.
•  Bestial Fury: Grants all your companions an extra attack.

Your Bear companion now has 99 Hit Points and 18  Armour Class. Its Strength Increases by 4.
