Light is a weapon attribute that allow character to Dual-Wield (wield two weapons in both hands). When Dual-Wielding, you use your Action and Bonus Action to attack two times with a Main Hand Attack and Offhand Attack.

You also can not add your Ability Scores Modifiers to the damage of the Offhand Attack.
