Tides of Chaos is a Reaction that grants Advantage on your next Attack Roll, Ability Check, or Saving Throw and increases the chance of a Wild Magic surge afterwards to 50% (normally 5%).
Description
Gain Advantage on your next Attack roll, Ability Check, or Saving throw. Increased chance of surge afterwards.
Properties

Condition: Tides of Chaos
Duration: Until Long rest
- Increased chance of surge (to 50%).
- Lost immediately after casting a Level 1 or higher Spell and rolling a Check.
How to learn
Classes:
- Class level 1: Wild Magic Sorcerer
Notes
- Normally, a d20 is rolled each time you cast a leveled spell. If the result is 20, then a Wild Magic Surge is triggered (i.e., a 5% chance). Tides of Chaos reduces the Difficulty Class (DC) to 11 (i.e., a 50% chance).
- In other words, increases the Wild Magic chance to 50% when you cast a leveled spell (normally 5%).
- Although it is a Reaction, it does not consume a Reaction resource.
