:Very good. I just wanted to add that Bard 1 & Rogue 11 is slightly better because you get Reliable Talent with Rogue 11 - that guarantees every roll on a proficient skill is at least 10. Together with Religion 14 (5 from INT, 2x4 from Proficiency & Expertise, 1 from Mage's Friend (Ring)) and e.g. Guidance, you don't even need advantage (Fox's Cunning) to guarantee a 25. | |||
:Another comment: If optimizing builds, there's surprisingly almost no case in which a non-CHA-character (e.g. a fighter) benefits at all from the +1 CHA buff from the Mirror of Loss. Assuming WIS is better than CHA in this case (e.g. for a fighter) because of the constantly occuring passive Perception checks, the character would get CHA 9 due to the Mirror of Loss, so it would be required to spend 1 ability point in the following respeccing to get any benefit from the buff, i.e. CHA 10 --> CHA-modifier 0 instead of -1. Unfortunately there's usually no possibility to spend this 1 ability point on CHA without ruining the remaining values; by which I mean that one of the values would be left uneven or not min-maxed, i.e. not optimized. --[[User:Gewinnste|Gewinnste]] ([[User talk:Gewinnste|talk]]) 17:08, 27 September 2024 (CEST) |

Going through with the complete questioning gives you Double Dice advantage on the Religion check.
Dec 12th 2023 Update[edit source]
There's many different responses to Mirror of Loss in the Internet. Follows what I noticed: 1. Respec all to bard except Shadowheart (as Cleric), placing everyone with max Int and Expertise in Arcana and Religion. 2. With Character 1, select option 2 (Religion test, but not the one on prayer). 3. Use Fox Cunning, Guidance and Bardic Inspiration to help the tests. 4. Surrender a memory to try and get the reply "Dissapointment...", that gives +1 Cha (Patrior's Memory). 5. If you didn't get it, you can try again and again, up to all 7 times (6 abilities + 1 Deception check). But don't spend all the attempts. There is a CHANCE you'll get the memory that gives +2, so save some, maybe 3, to ensure you'll get the +2. 6. Once you get the +1 Cha, go with Character 2, sacrifice some memories (up to 4). If you got, your luck; if not, maybe reload. 7. Once you get the +1 Cha (or spend all of your tries), go with Character 3 to attempt the +1 Cha as well. 8. As Character 4 is Shadowheart, no use on going with her. 9. Now, with one character, do the prayer, and start over giving away memories until you get the option to +2 Ability. 10. Do the same with character 2. 11. Do the same with character 3.
Hope this helps.
- Very good.
- Another comment: If optimizing builds, there's surprisingly almost no case in which a non-CHA-character (e.g. a fighter) benefits at all from the +1 CHA buff from the Mirror of Loss. --Gewinnste (talk) 17:08, 27 September 2024 (CEST)
