Nymessa is one of the Tiefling Rangers who has captured Lae'zel in Act One. She is found in the Wilderness alongside Damays.

Act One[edit | edit source]

After escaping the Nautiloid wreck on the Ravaged Beach, the party may encounter Nymessa and Damays. The two have captured Lae'zel and are discussing what to do with her. Nymessa wants to leave her behind, while Damays wants to bring Lae'zel back to their camp. Lae'zel will telepathically tell the player character to free her. This initiates Free Lae'zel Free Lae'zel.

A party member can convince Nymessa and Damays to aid them in killing Lae'zel, or to set her free by passing an Ability Check. If the interacting party member is a Drow, Drow Half-Elf, Duergar, or Githyanki, the Tieflings will attack out of fear. Their attack can be dissuaded by passing a DC 5 Intimidation check.

Before leaving, if the Tieflings were not dispatched through intimidation, the party can ask if they know of a healer. They will direct the party to Nettie, which updates Find a Cure Find a Cure and initiates Get Help from Healer Nettie Get Help from Healer Nettie.
