Astarion Romance Page[edit source]
Hi Arikel!
First off, thank you for all the edits you've been doing!
You might have noticed us locking the Astarion/Romance & Gale/Romance page while we are looking into the discussion on the talk page & the back and forth editing taking place. We always strive to have Accuracy before anything else and to have our articles written objectively and neutral, as outlined in our bg3wiki:Editing policy. Personal opinions should never influence the content of a wiki.
We noticed a couple of instances where your edits did not line up with our goals. We want to encourage you to take another read of Help:Style manual & Help:Editing Policy and be mindful of how future edits sound.
This is NOT supposed to discourage you from continuing your edits - you have been putting in great work!
In cases of extreme disagreement or extended discussion, you are encouraged and more then welcome to reach out to the Moderators & Maintainers (ideally via the Discord) to resolve those situations.
(Just FYI, the page might stay locked a little while longer while additional team members give it a read.)
If you have any questions, dont hesitate to reach out via my Talk Page or via the bg3.wiki Discord server! Valk (talk) 00:32, 20 July 2024 (CEST)
- Hi,
- Thank you for noticing the 'carousel' with editing the page, and sorry for opening a Pandora's box there. It was caused mostly by the previous contributor simply deleting ALL of my contribute and leaving rather personal and spiteful comment (like a proposal to visit a therapyst, for instance) on the Talk page.
- In the future, I will try to stick closer to neutrality and general style of editing articles.
- Thank you for blocking the edit possibility for the page in question, this would bide all of concerned contributors some time to cool down a little.
- However, there are some issues that IMO should be restored/altered from previous edit, which I'd like you to consider:
- 1) The clause of NPC maintaining the relations without long-rests is now doubled (in the beginning and in the end of the Romance conclusion section)
- 2) The description of the dialogue on the next morning remained in the 'spawn' section, but has been totally deleted in 'ascended' section, whatever its formulation should be
- 3) The necessity of the link to FRWiki is doubtful, because the article there is a stub derived from materials taken from our wiki and directly from the game.
- Also, I'd like you to pay some attention to several users that were created recently, specifically to leave a couple of comments on the cause an the correspondent Talk page. Their comments towards my edits contain certain insult-like phrases (mentioned above and some other). If it is possible, I'd ask you to delete all the long-reads at the Talk page.
- Thank you in advance Arikel (talk) 07:33, 20 July 2024 (CEST)
