  • A creature can pick up items and other creatures weighing up to  kg[1]. For example, with a Strength score of 18, the weight limit for Improvised Weapon is  Weight: 64.8 kg / 129.6 lb.
    • It requires a Strength of at least 20 to pick up a normal humanoid ( Weight: 75 kg / 150 lb).

  • Can be done as a free attack after triggering Extra Attack.
  • Berserker can do this as a bonus action via Improvised Melee Weapon (Bonus Action) Improvised Melee Weapon (Bonus Action).
  • Improvised Melee Weapon counts as a melee unarmed attack.
  • This ability can allow a strong character to move other creatures and objects to more desirable locations, though it usually involves smashing said creature or object into the ground. Canceling your action allows movement without making the attack, and only uses movement as a result - no actions expended (though you need an action to attempt the Improvised Melee Weapon).
    • This feature can be further used to relocate creatures or objects by use of the fast travel system. While still moving the object/creature that is to be used as a melee weapon, quickly fast travel to your desired location. If you manage to fast travel before completing the attack, you and the held creature will be teleported together. Without a clear path back to their original location, NPCs will remain locked in their new location, allowing players to create a convenient hub of Merchants in one fast travel location.

Footnotes[edit | edit source]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 This weight is not influenced by a creatures equipped items or items inside a creatures inventory or a container. The weight is not how much it weighs to pick up or have in your inventory, but the weight of only the object/creature itself. You can see this weight by clicking "Examine -> Detailed Info" and looking under "Weight: ".
