Cleave is a weapon action available to characters proficient in and wielding a battleaxe, greataxe, greatsword, or halberd in their main hand.

Description

Swing your weapon in a large arc to attack up to 3 enemies at once. They each take half the damage your weapon usually deals.

  • Flat damage bonus effects such as from Great Weapon Master or Rage are not reduced by Cleave.
  • If there are more than 3 enemies in the attack area, Cleave targets the 3 closest enemies.
  • Cleave does not hit friendly targets.
