Throw is a common Action that allows the user to throw certain Weapons, Consumables, environmental objects, and even other creatures.

Description

Throw a character or item from the world or your inventory.

Your Strength affects how much weight you can throw. Heavier items deal more damage.

The damage of weapons with the thrown property is the same as the weapon's melee damage.

  • Damage:
    • For weapons with the Thrown Thrown property, the damage roll and damage type is the same as the weapon's melee damage
    • For other objects and creatures, damage is determined by the weight[note 1] of the object being thrown:
      • Light objects: under  Weight: 10 kg / 20 lb:

    • It requires a Strength of at least 20 to pick up a normal humanoid ( Weight: 75 kg / 150 lb).
  • Triggers Extra Attack Extra Attack.
  • Can be done as a free attack after triggering Extra Attack.
  • Berserker Barbarian has an improved throwing ability called Enraged Throw Enraged Throw.
  • Throw counts as a ranged unarmed attack.
  • Thrown objects and creatures will take falling damage if thrown from a sufficient height.
  • Bound weapons of an Eldritch Knight, while receiving the Returning property when bound, will not receive the Thrown Thrown property if they don't already have it. This results in them not doing their full damage including any and all Elemental damage effects both from the weapon and other sources, such as from the Everburn Blade, Flawed Helldusk Gloves and Charge-Bound Warhammer.
  • Kushigo's Might and Throwing Boost add bonus damage when you use this action.
