Elminster Aumar is a famous and powerful wizard, as well as the favored Chosen of Mystra.

Where to Find

Elminster can first be found near the entrance to the Shadow-Cursed Lands from Rosymorn Monastery Trail or near the ruined Sharran temple if the party used the elevator from Grymforge, assuming Gale is still alive and has not left the party. Gale's personal quest The Wizard of Waterdeep must have progressed to the point where his condition is no longer responding to treatment for Elminster to appear. If Gale does not receive all three items by the time he reaches the Shadow-Cursed Lands, then Elminster appears in camp after a long rest once he has received the last item.

Elminster appears for a second time in Act Three at the party's camp, after Gale's story quest has progressed to visit the vaults of Sorcerous Sundries.

• Elminster is voiced by Crispin Redman, replacing Frank Welker from previous games.
