Leave No One Behind is an achievement in Baldur's Gate 3 that requires the party to save all the Tiefling Refugees whenever possible. If the conditions are met, this achievement is awarded upon completing the game.
Act One[edit | edit source]
All the tiefling refugees in the Emerald Grove must survive, with the exception of Kanon as his death is unavoidable. This means the party must complete the Save the Refugees questline, siding with the tieflings throughout and, depending on the choices the party made, ensuring their survival against goblins and/or hostile druids. The Rite of Thorns must also not be completed.
See list to the right for a full name list of all tieflings that must be alive at the end of Act 1.
Tiefling Refugees (Act 1) |
---|
Ravaged Beach |
The Hollow |
Secluded Chamber |
Tiefling Hideout |
Inner Sanctum |
Secluded Cove |
Special mentions[edit | edit source]
The below must all be accounted for before Defeat the Goblins is complete.
- Damays and Nymessa: Found between the Emerald Grove and the Overgrown Ruins, guarding Lae'zel's cage. They must be persuaded to leave before freeing Lae'zel, as they will otherwise be killed. If Lae'zel is chosen as origin, Damays and Nymessa are automatically dead. It is unclear whether or not this causes the achievement to fail [Needs Verification].
- Nadira: Found at the top of the hill east of the gate, where she must be saved from a bugbear assassin. The encounter might not trigger if the party never approaches, effectively 'saving' her by ignoring her. However, the party may unknowingly get close enough to trigger the event, resulting in her death.
- Rolan: Found in the grove with his siblings. He must be convinced to stay with the rest of the refugees due to events of Act 2.
- Pandirna: Found paralyzed in the storehouse in The Hollow. It is not necessary to heal her for the achievement, however, Astarion and the Dark Urge have unique interactions with her.
- Arka: When found confronting the goblin Sazza in the Makeshift Prison, she must be talked out of seeking revenge, or she will show up dead near the Goblin Camp. (Note: See Bugs).
- Arabella: Found in the Inner Sanctum, where Kagha must be convinced to spare her.
- Mirkon: Found at the Secluded Cove. Once the party gets close enough to trigger the quest, Investigate the Beach, they must immediately save Mirkon, as leaving the area will cause his death. It can be advised to cast Sanctuary on Mirkon before starting the encounter. It is also possible to advance the plot sufficiently that the refugees have left prior to approaching the cove and triggering Investigate the Beach, which will prevent the party from saving Mirkon but will also not cause the achievement to fail.
- Cerys will only appear in this act if Zevlor has died, thus her appearance means the achievement has failed.
- If the The Dark Urge is chosen as origin, Alfira must be knocked out non-lethally on the day their special long rest event will trigger. She is then replaced by a Dragonborn bard Quil during Dark Urge's personal camp event. If successful, Alfira will not disappear from her position in the Emerald Grove.
Act Two[edit | edit source]
In Act 2, many of the tieflings are - unavoidably - either missing or dead. Refer to the list to the right to see who must be accounted for and kept alive for this achievement.
The Last Light Inn must not fall at any point. This includes keeping Isobel safe during Resolve the Abduction, where all tieflings must survive the raid, as well as ensuring Nightsong is saved in Find the Nightsong.

Special mentions[edit | edit source]
The below should be accounted for before the party enters the Shadowfell as part of the Find the Nightsong, with the exception of Zevlor and Mol.
- Cerys: Found inside the Last Light Inn. Cerys can easily be mistaken for a member of the Harpers unless the party talks to her and learns that she was a member of the refugees who was busy scouting during Act 1. She must be kept alive through Resolve the Abduction just like the other Tieflings.
- Dammon: Found right outside the Last Light Inn. Dammon must be protected if choosing to fight the Strange Ox.
- Rolan: Initially found in Last Light Inn, but will leave to find his siblings. The party must then save him in the Ruined Battlefield X: -54 Y: -111.
- Bex, Mattis, Mirkon and Umi: Found in Last Light Inn, as long as Rolan and his siblings were convinced to stay in the Emerald Grove in Act 1.
- Arabella: Found near the graveyard in Reithwin Town X: -153 Y: 15. Her quest Find Arabella's Parents must be completed.
- Cal, Danis, Lakrissa and Lia: Imprisoned in Moonrise Towers and must be rescued with everyone surviving. Speak to Alfira upon returning to Last Light Inn for completion. Speak to the other rescued tieflings for various rewards. See also Rescue the Tieflings.
- Mol: Will always be captured during Resolve the Abduction and will not appear until Act 3. See also Find Mol.
- Zevlor: Must be rescued in the Illithid Colony. See also Find Zevlor.
Deceased or missing[edit | edit source]
- The following will all be found deceased in the shadow-cursed lands. Their deaths cannot be avoided and do not have an impact on getting the achievement:
Amek, Asharak, Elegis, Ikaron, Kaldani, Komira, Locke, Memnos, Rechel, Toron, Xeph.
- The following will always be missing and will not show up in the game again:
Arka, Damays, Doni, Eramas, Gan, Guex, Nadira, Nymessa, Okta, Pandirna, Rikka, Tilses, Zaki.
Act Three[edit | edit source]
Most of the surviving tieflings can be found in the refugee camps in Rivington, though some have made it into the Lower City.
At this point in the game, no major events endanger the refugees.

Special mentions[edit | edit source]
- Rolan: Found at the Sorcerous Sundries. Rolan must not die if the party chooses to fight Lorroakan.
- Mol: Found in the Guildhall. She must be spoken to for the completion of Find Mol and cannot be allowed to die during the battle between The Guild and the Zhentarim during Aid the Underduke.
- Zevlor: Zevlor can't be found in Act 3 until the end of the game. He must survive if he is summoned using during the final battle.
Missing[edit | edit source]
- In addition to the list of missing tieflings in Act 2, Meli cannot be found anywhere.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- Achievement may incorrectly unlock early if saving tieflings missed in a previous playthrough.
- Arka's corpse may be found outside the goblin camp, regardless if the party successfully dissuaded her from seeking revenge. This may or may not impact the achievement as she can still be found alive in the grove.
