Spider meat

Spider meat is an interactable spider carcass found in the Gauntlet of Shar during Act 2.

A well-chewed spider carcass oozes on the ground.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

The spider meat is part of the quest Kill Raphael's Old Enemy Kill Raphael's Old Enemy.

  • Take a good long sniff. to notice that it smells unexpectedly fragrant.
  • Give it a lick. to discover that the meat is charmed.
    • Gale disapproves -1, Halsin disapproves -1, Lae'zel disapproves -1, Minthara disapproves -1, Shadowheart disapproves -1, and Wyll disapproves -1 disapprove, while Karlach Karlach approves.
    • DC 13 Constitution check to avoid getting poisoned.
  • Study it. DC 14 Investigation check to discover something not entirely unnatural.
    • Scan the meat for signs of magical interference. DC 16 Arcana check to discover that it's been dosed with a potion.

Passing both skill checks will let the party persuade or deceive the Displacer Beast Nessa Nessa, potentially having her attack Yurgir Yurgir.
