- One of the few items with an icon that changes depending on stack size
- If the carried Weight of a party member is higher than expected, even after selling the loot, it is recommended to check how much gold the party member is carrying around.
- As an individual item, gold is one of the lightest items in the game that isn't actually weightless. It is necessary to carry ten pieces of gold before any weight is even reported.
- Gold can be used from the Traveller's Chest when trading. Thus, it is not necessary to carry gold in the party members' inventory for trading purposes. However, this does not work for the gold cost associated with learning Wizard spells from scrolls.
