This is a condition exclusive to Shadowheart. It lasts for 1 turn and triggers at several points during the story, depending on the player's actions. The following events are known to trigger the wound:
- Convincing Kagha to release Arabella.
- Shadowheart looks at the broken Selûne statue in the Blighted Village.
- Opening the gilded chest in the Owlbear Nest.
- Letting the Owlbear Cub live.
- Shadowheart revealing to the player that she worships Shar.
- Curing Thulla's poison.
- Receiving from Isobel.
- Entering Candulhallow's Tombstones.
- Freeing Yurgir from his contract.
- Visiting the Philgrave's Mansion room filled with corpses.
