Golbraith's Cellar is a Location within Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3. It is a small building directly across from the main gate to Bloomridge Park and north of The Blushing Mermaid.

Overview

First floor

The first floor is accessed by using the ladder on the south-western corner of the main floor. Golbraith himself will be on this floor. If his mind is eased about the mind flayers in the city, he will gift the item Abdel's Trusted Shield.

On a bookshelf is a key to the nearby locked rustic chest, which contains a book of letters between Golbraith and his son, some gold and Thieves' Tools.

Cellar

In the north-eastern corner of the room is a DC 20 Dexterity check locked hatch which connects to the cellar. Descending through the hatch, the player will come across many pressure plate traps which will set off the rooms vents. If the vents are set off, there is a button on the wall (X: -2342 Y: 834) to disable the traps.

Over on the southern side of the room, underneath a stuffed hyena head, is a Katana. On the western side are some low-level weapons, and a locked gilded chest with some arrows.

Golbraith's cellar also has a small study and several books on illithids, how to track and counter them.

Button

The button (X: -2339 Y: 836) in the cellar removes Cloudkill if you accidentally set off the traps.
