Text

Salutations!

I'm writing to request your help in a mysterious case that has arisen since our little Bhaalian bash a half-year ago. Regrettably, I've had to take the credit for dispelling the Bhaal cult (in your absence, you understand), and am working on routing the remaining Bhaalists from our fair city. This has made me a target. A false document bringing my name into ill-repute has been made public - an alleged unpaid bar tab at the Elfsong. If you happen to be passing through with a bindle of coin, perhaps you can persuade management of my obvious innocence? Much obliged.

Investigator Valeria - Sleuth of Helm.

PS. Any advice on getting Bhaalist blood out of cloth? My hat's not been the same since the Murder Tribunal.

Notes

The letter will have different postscript if Davella died during the playthrough:

PS. I wrangled Devella a posthumous promotion to Blaze Fountainhead - she deserved that at least.

The letter will contain an extra line if Davella was helped and survived:

...from our fair city. (with the newly promoted Blaze Devella Fountainhead in tow, of course).
