Dearest Shimmer.

I been sailing up and down the Sword Coast for nigh on forty years, and I ain't never seen a beauty that done cut my heart like you did. Now, I ain't asking for an evening with a gent such as yourself - you've got suitors knocking on your door day and night, I've no doubt. Folk richer and finer than myself, who could give you a life you deserve.

Instead, I'm wishing, hoping, and praying you could gift me a favour - a lock of your hair, so that I might wear it close to my heart. I ask this knowing I've a better chance of Umberlee kicking down my door and dragging me to bed than I do of getting an answer, but should you do this for me, you'd make an old sailor's heart sing.
