Disarming Strike is a weapon action available to characters proficient in and wielding a trident in their main hand.

Description

Focus your attack on your foe's hands and possibly force them to drop the weapons they are holding.

Granted by wielding the following weapon types with proficiency:

Notes

  • Target must have an actual weapon equipped; claws and the like do not count and cannot be dropped.
  • A successful Strength saving throw prevents the weapon from being dropped, but the damage still applies.
  • This action is essentially a weaker variant of the Disarming Attack (Melee) action available to Battle Master Battle Master.
  • As of Patch 3 / Hotfix 7, the tooltip of this action shows the notice "On Miss: Does not spend Superiority Dice." This is a simple display bug; the action does not require Superiority Dice, nor does it expend any on a successful hit.
