Hunter's Mark is a level 1 divination spell. This spell allows spellcasters to mark a creature as their prey and deal additional Damage TypesWeapon damage to the targeted creature.

Description

Mark a creature as your quarry to deal an additional 1d6Damage TypesWeapon damage whenever you hit it with a weapon attack.

If the target dies before the spell ends, you can use Reapply Hunter's Mark Reapply Hunter's Mark to mark a new creature.

  • The beast companions for the Beast Master Ranger all have a passive feature, Prey's Scent, that causes this spell to improve their damage as well when their Ranger casts it.
  • The incantation for Hunter's Mark is es praedae mei, Latin for you are my prey.
  • The damage provided by this spell functions more as Sneak Attack, than spell damage, and as such does not activate effects that activate on spell damage; eg. Spellsparkler
