Reithwin Necrology shows that there was a large combat involving Dark Justiciars in Reithwin in 986 DR, 506 years before the events of the game in 1492. But the shadow curse has only been around for a hundred years or so. That seems to indicate either:
- The shadow curse has actually been around for half a millennium
- The Harpers-druid alliance war lasted hundreds of years
- There were multiple wars, or, most likely IMO:
- that 986 date is off by a lot
