* Loryss is a direct [[Cultural references|reference]] to the Cabbage Merchant from Avatar: The Last Airbender, who's cabbage cart was constantly overturned or destroyed by the show's main protagonist and other characters.

* If the party talks to him with a [[Monk]] character, he has a special line where he will recognize "that stoic stance, calming presence".
